Meet our founder
Hi, I’m Maira (pronounced “my-ear-a”). I’m so glad you’re here! I’m the founder and CEO of Bromeliad Homes, where we offer unique and thoughtfully designed short-term rental properties in Wisconsin and North Carolina. I’m also the founder of our sister company, Bromeliad Land, specializing in land investing and wholesaling—but that’s a story for another day! Originally from Brazil, I’ve called the United States home for the past 17 years.
Before venturing into the world of real estate, I spent nearly 20 years as a lawyer, practicing in both Brazil and the US. My career gave me the opportunity to work with iconic brands at Fortune 500 companies and prestigious law firms. Although that was a rewarding career, I craved something more.
My journey into real estate was driven by my passion for design, hospitality, and a desire to live a more purposeful life. I believe true wealth comes from aligning our purpose with the way we live, and that’s a core value I bring into my businesses. Through Bromeliad Homes, I’m able to merge my values with my love for creating spaces that feel like home, all while making a meaningful impact in the communities we serve.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me traveling, experimenting in the kitchen, or enjoying long walks—activities that fuel my creativity and keep me grounded.
